All seeds were harvested by Breanna Stewart in the Flathead Valley on private property. The beargrass which is hosting Indian paint brush and balsam root were first germinated in a 1 gallon container. These to are are certified Native plants to Montana as well.

Aspens and grasses were my solution for horsetail, a weed that grows rhizome roots up to 20' deep they are almost impossible to kill and with the wetlands within a few feet it is a responsible and reasonable solution. The grasses will cover every inch of the island within a year or two hopefully choking out the majority of the horsetail.
